Top Events in Derby this Summer
With Summer fast approaching, we have chosen our top things to do across the city. If you’re already planning ahead, check out the events below for things to enjoy with your family, friends or partners.
RHS Chatsworth Flower Show
Displays that take your breath away and a weekend full of colour and inspiration. Immerse yourself in the show which runs from 5th to 9th June 2019. As well as the gardens on display, you can expect to see pop-up shops and have-a-go workshops to get your green fingers moving. You can plan your visit online and see what else is on offer throughout the show.
Y Not Festival
Y Not returns to the Peak District from 25th to 28th July 2019. With the likes of Two Door Cinema Club, Gerry Cinnamon and Happy Mondays taking to the stage across the weekend, there is sure to be something for everyone. Tickets are available online now along with all the information on the festival, including camping and full line-up details.
Dog Lovers Festival
From 2nd to 4th August you can lose yourself in a dog-lovers world. The festival returns for another year with more attractions before and plenty of activities to get stuck into with your four-legged friend. Aqua sports, pop-up shops and live music are on the bill for this year, all set in acres of woodland for you to explore and enjoy.
The Hannells Darley Park Concert
Get your picnic packed and enjoy classical music and fireworks in the park. The event will be held on Sunday 1st September in Darley Park, tickets can be bought in advance and you can see all of the information about the event online.
The theme is the moon, space and tides with installations that will blow your mind. The Museum of the Moon is a touring artwork measuring seven metres in diameter. The sculpture is lit internally and has its own bespoke soundtrack for the exhibition. It can be found at Derby Cathedral from 16th September and Derby Festé returns from 26th to 28th September.
